Hello and welcome to the EYFS! Our class teachers are Mrs Peters and Miss Gardner and we are very lucky to have Mrs Pascoe, Mrs Humphries, Mrs Wilson, Ms Kearle and Mrs Barnes helping us too.

Our unit is full of excitable, eager and hardworking Reception and Nursery children, all of whom add fun and sparkle to our EYFS unit. We are lucky to share a fantastic outside area, helping us develop lots of social, interactive and motor skills. We just love using the sand pit and water tap, especially now it is our Summer Term.

This half term our main topic is ‘Fairies, Castles and Knights’, but we will also be learning about how things grow; plants, our bodies, our teeth, other people and our relationships. We have already organised and cleared our outside gardens around the school so that we can put our sunflowers and tomato plants directly into the ground to watch them grow and learn how to look after them.

We are very excited to be starting our brand new tooth brushing club this half term, with every child learning how to brush their teeth here at school. Not only have parents been given information about looking after our teeth at home, but the EYFS adults and all the children are going to be trained too!

Next half term we will continue on our journey of finding out how people and relationships grow, working our way towards an exciting wedding…more information to be confirmed nearer the time (the bride and groom don’t know they will be wed yet).
